Reader’s notes
p. 185. Decimal points in the percent columns are printed but drop out in this 1-bit scan (the values render as "77 9", "22 1", etc.); they are transcribed as decimals ("77.9", "22.1"), which is confirmed by arithmetic: every percent pair sums to 100.0 and equals Number/Objections ruled upon (e.g. 431/553 = 77.9, 122/553 = 22.1; 7/11 = 63.6, 4/11 = 36.4). Sentence-ending periods in the footnotes are likewise faint/lost in the scan and have been restored. The stub column carries no printed heading, so cell 0 of both heading levels is empty. In the "Expedited elections" row both percent cells hold a dash rule (an em-dash) rather than a value, transcribed as "". Row labels display with dotless i's in the scan ("electıons", "Objec-tıons"); these are scanning artifacts and are written normally. All column totals and row identities check out: 615-62=553, 431+122=553; the five by-type-of-election rows sum to the "All representation elections" line in every numeric column, as do the three by-type-of-case rows. No misprints detected.
