Reader’s notes

p. 245. Ten columns: stub plus three panels of three (Total—all courts, In courts of appeals, In district courts), each panel being Number decided / Upholding Board position / Contrary to Board position. "Number decided" is a tall heading spanning the "Court determination" level and the level below it, so it is repeated in both of those header levels; the stub heading "Type of litigation" is repeated in all four levels. The scan is clean and all printed arithmetic checks out internally (e.g. "To restrain NLRB from" 24 = 8+16+0+0; "To compel NLRB to" 25 = 4+0+3+17+1; "Action by other parties" 51 = 2+24+25+0; "Totals—all types" 54 = 3+51), so no misprints are suspected. Indentation in the stub marks hierarchy: "To enforce subpoena" through "To prevent conflict between NLRA and Bankruptcy Code" sit under "NLRB-initiated actions or interventions"; "To review non-final orders", "To restrain NLRB from", "To compel NLRB to" and the final "Other" sit under "Action by other parties"; "Proceeding in R case" through the first "Other" sit under "To restrain NLRB from"; "Issue complaint" through "Engage in rulemaking" sit under "To compel NLRB to". Two distinct rows are both labelled "Other" (one under "To restrain NLRB from", the last one at the "Action by other parties" level); both are transcribed as printed. A faint stray pen-like squiggle appears in the stub below "Type of litigation" in the heading block; it is a scanning/marking artifact, not printed table content, and is omitted.
