Suspected misprint: in the "1-union elections" row, the last column ("In elections where no representative chosen") is printed as 136,446, but the four member rows above it sum to 136,466 (94,109 + 29,469 + 4,615 + 8,273) and the grand total 143,593 minus the 2-union subtotal 7,127 also gives 136,466. Transcribed as printed. Every other cell in the table cross-foots exactly. "Percent won" column: this is a 1-bit scan in which the decimal points of that column did not reproduce (values render as "41 1", "100 0", etc.). They are transcribed with the decimal point ("41.1", "100.0"); each value is consistent with Total won / Total elections, so the reading is not in doubt, only the ink. Header grouping caveat: the rule printed under "In units won by" in the "Employees eligible to vote" block covers only the Teamsters, Other national unions and Other local unions columns, so the employees-block "AFL-CIO unions" column is transcribed as a level-2 heading standing beside "Total" and "In elections won". Arithmetically, though, that AFL-CIO column belongs to the same group (70,760 + 17,835 + 2,848 + 14,476 = 105,919 = "In elections won"), so a reader may wish to treat "In units won by" as spanning all four union columns. The exact left end of that short rule is the one layout feature I could not resolve with certainty at this resolution. Section line: the label reads "A All representation elections"; a period after the "A" is probable but is not legible in the scan, so none was added. p. 219. 16 columns (stub + 15). No footnote text is printed on this crop; the markers (caption "1", column "Total elections 2") refer to notes printed elsewhere. DECIMAL POINTS: this scan does not resolve small dots — lowercase i's render dotless throughout ("unıons", "electıons"). The "Percent won" column consequently prints as "47 3", "100 0", "66 7" etc. with a narrow gap where the decimal point belongs. These are one-decimal percentages (each equals Total won / Total elections), so they are transcribed with the point restored ("47.3"). The section line is transcribed "B. Elections in RC cases" for the same reason, though no period is legible after the "B". Row labels show "v" between union names with no visible period; left as "v" since "v." cannot be confirmed. SUSPECT CELL — "2-union elections" row, "Employees eligible to vote / In elections won" column: I read this as 17,571 and have transcribed it as read, but it is almost certainly 17,671. Two checks fail at 17,571 and both pass at 17,671: (a) the row's four "in units won by" components 4,112 + 5,928 + 1,053 + 6,578 = 17,671, and 17,671 + 7,046 (no representative chosen) = 24,717, the printed row total; (b) the column total requires 53,066 + 17,671 + 19,449 = 90,186, the printed "Total RC elections" figure. So this is either a 6 that I have misread as 5 at this resolution, or a genuine misprint in the subtotal. Every other cell in the table reconciles both across rows and down columns. "Total RC elections" row, "Elections won by unions / Other national unions" column: printed with a stray speck before the figure ("· 62"); transcribed as 62, which is what the column sum (53 + 9 + 0) requires. HEADER STRUCTURE: the "In units won by" sub-band rule covers only the last three columns of the "Employees eligible to vote" group (Teamsters, Other national unions, Other local unions); the "AFL-CIO unions" column immediately to its left is set as a tall heading reaching up to the group rule, so it is repeated across levels 2 and 3 rather than placed under "In units won by". This is a typographic oddity — that column's values (e.g. 36,142 for AFL-CIO, 19,128 in the 3-union subtotal) are clearly employees in units won by AFL-CIO unions — but the grid follows the printed rules. Likewise, "In elections where no representative chosen" (last column) is printed as a separate tall column outside the "Employees eligible to vote" box, although arithmetically it belongs to that group (205,717 = 90,186 + 115,531). It contains the end of panel "C Elections in RM cases" (complete, through "Total RM elections") and the beginning of panel "D Elections in RD cases", which is cut off by the bottom of the crop: "Teamsters v Local" is the last row printed here (its baseline sits right at the trimmed edge but all its figures are legible), and section D's remaining rows, its subtotals and its total continue on the following page. No footnote block is printed on this crop; the superscript 1 on the caption and any numbered footnotes appear elsewhere, so `footnotes` is empty. The only footnote marker inside the grid is the superscript 2 on the "Total elections" heading, recorded as "Total elections^2". Decimal points in the "Percent won" column: the 1-bit scan has dropped the printed period in every value of this column, so the image literally shows "20 3", "100 0", "66 7", "0 0", etc. These are one-decimal percentages (confirmed by context: e.g. 28 of 138 = 20.3), so they are transcribed with the point restored ("20.3", "100.0", "66.7", "0.0"). No digits were altered. "In units won by": this second-level heading sits over the four breakdown columns of the "Employees eligible to vote" block. Every total and subtotal printed on this crop reconciles with its components, including the cross-check that elections won + elections with no representative chosen = total elections, and employees in elections won + employees where no representative chosen = total employees. No misprint was found.

This is a "—Continued" page: the column headings are reprinted in full, but the body is only the tail of the table (the rows above "Local v Local" are on the preceding page), so "Total RD elections" sums rows not shown here. 16 columns. Column-span reading of the heading: "Employees eligible to vote" spans six columns (Total, In elections won, AFL-CIO unions, Teamsters, Other national unions, Other local unions); the sub-heading "In units won by" sits above only the last three of those (Teamsters, Other national unions, Other local unions), while "AFL-CIO unions" is a tall heading occupying that level and the one below it — this was judged from the vertical centring of the stacked heading lines and the position of the rule, and is the main structural uncertainty in the transcription. The final column, "In elections where no representative chosen", is ruled off from the "Employees eligible to vote" group and spans all heading levels. Punctuation lost to the 1-bit scan: the decimal point in the "Percent won" column does not reproduce, so the cells print as "66 7", "75 0" and "23 5"; they are transcribed as 66.7, 75.0 and 23.5, which is what the arithmetic requires (2/3, 9/12, 206/875). Likewise the stub label prints as "Local v Local" and is almost certainly "Local v. Local"; it is transcribed as it appears. Terminal periods on both footnotes are not visible in the scan and have been omitted. Em-dash rules ("——") appear in the AFL-CIO unions, Teamsters and Other national unions columns of the "Local v Local" row (both the elections block and the employees block) and are rendered as empty cells. The heading of the last column shows a small stray mark after the word "elections" (around the top-right of the heading block); it appears to be scanner dirt or the ruling, not a footnote marker, and has not been transcribed. A faint speck sits in the stub just above the "Local v Local" label; it is not text. All internal totals cross-check: 137+42+5+22=206 and 206+669=875; 10,101+2,161+356+1,070=13,688 and 13,688+24,128=37,816; 2+2+1+4=9 and 9+3=12; 266+50+75+371=762 and 762+81=843; 43+14=57. No printed value appears to be a misprint.
