Reader’s notes

p. 187. Eight columns: stub, Total, and six columns under \"Identification of filing party\". The stub has no printed heading, so cell 0 of both heading levels is empty.\n\nThe three \"RC cases\", \"RM cases\", \"RD cases\" lines are centered section headings printed across the field columns with no values; they are transcribed as label-only rows.\n\nThe raised asterisk printed before the Total figure on each \"Pending October 1, 1983\" row (*2,064, *224, *484) is read as a footnote marker and written after the value (2,064^*, 224^*, 484^*). The footnote text defining the asterisk is not visible within this crop; it presumably falls below the bottom edge.\n\nAll em-dash rules (\"——\") marking not-applicable cells are transcribed as empty strings: the six filing-party columns for every RM row, the Employers column for every RC and RD row.\n\nThe footnote line at the bottom is clipped by the crop (only the upper half of the characters shows); it reads \"1 See Glossary for definition of terms.\" with reasonable certainty, but the final period and any further footnote lines (including the asterisk note) are cut off.\n\nNo arithmetic was corrected; as a check, every row's filing-party cells do sum to the printed Total, and in RC and RD the On-docket rows equal Pending + Received, so no misprint is suspected.
