48 of 56 figures sit in a row or column sum that works out. 1 cell breaks a sum: 'Before issuance of complaint', column 2: prints 32,063, the subtotals in columns 4 to 16 add to 32,069.

Reader’s notes

p. 200. 17 columns: stub plus eight case-type panels of Number / Percent of cases closed (All C, CA, CB, CC, CD, CE, CG, CP). The scan has dropped nearly every small dot on the page - the dots over the letter i are missing throughout the row labels ("ıssuance", "complaınt", "dısposıtıon") and the decimal points in the percent columns render as a space ("100 0", "84 3", "0 7"). I have transcribed the percents with their decimal points (100.0, 84.3, 0.7, etc.), since the spacing and the context (percent of cases closed, column totalling to 100) make the intended value unambiguous; the raw pixels show no visible point. For the same reason the terminal period of footnote 1 is supplied. In the lower rows a printed 0 in a Number column is paired with a blank Percent cell (CD/CE/CG/CP in the "After hearing opened", "After administrative law judge's decision" and "After Board decision" rows; CC/CD/CG/CP in the "After Supreme Court action" row; CG in the "After circuit court decree" row); those blanks are transcribed as empty cells. The CP "Percent of cases closed" heading carries a small stray ink speck after "cent" which I read as a scan artifact, not a footnote marker. The caption's footnote marker 1 is on the omitted title line.
