Reader’s notes

p. 328. Ten columns: the stub plus three panels (Total—all courts, In courts of appeals, In district courts) of three columns each. The top heading "Number of proceedings" spans all nine numeric columns; "Number decided" is a tall single heading repeated across the two lower heading levels in each panel; the stub heading "Type of litigation" is repeated down all four levels. Row-label wording kept as printed: "To enforce subpena" (that spelling), "Take action in R Case" (capital C), "Pay Attorneys fee under EAJA" (no apostrophe). The row "Reviewing under 10(f) unreviewing order" reads that way on the scan; "unreviewing" is likely a misprint or scan artefact for "unreviewable" (or the label may be "Reviewing under 10(f) an unreviewable order"), but it is transcribed as it appears. The leading word "Reviewing" is also slightly odd under the parent heading "To restrain NLRB from". Indentation in the stub is not represented in the grid: "NLRB-initiated actions or interventions" and "Action by other parties" are the two first-level sections; "To restrain NLRB from" and "To compel NLRB to" are subheadings under the latter, each followed by its own indented detail rows. All of those carry values, so there are no label-only section rows. All printed totals cross-check: the two section rows sum to "Totals—all types"; each section's detail rows sum to its section line; and in every row the three-column panels satisfy appeals + district = total, and in most rows upholding + contrary = number decided (the exception is the stub-level row "To defend Board's jurisdiction" in no column — no discrepancies found). A stray ink speck appears to the right of the "Proceeding in R case" label and after "To initiate contempt proceedings"; both are page dirt, not footnote markers, and are not transcribed.
