p. 273. The table is divided into six blocks of the same five rows. The first block (all cases combined) carries no printed section heading on the image — it sits directly under the column headings — so it is transcribed without a section line; the five later blocks have centered section headings, included as label-only rows. The stub column has no printed heading, so cell 0 of both heading levels is empty; "Total" is a tall heading spanning both levels and "Identification of filing party" spans the six right-hand columns. The raised asterisk on each "Pending October 1, 1981" total is printed immediately BEFORE the figure (e.g. "*26,316"); following the convention requested, it is written after the value as "26,316^*". In the "Union-shop deauthorization cases" block only the Total and Individuals columns carry figures; the other five columns are blank in the print (a few faint stray specks appear in the Other local unions / Employers columns next to "Pending September 30, 1982", which are scan artifacts or leader dots, not digits, and are transcribed as empty). The label "On docket fiscal 1982" in the unfair labor practice block is followed by a single leader dot in the scan; the dot was dropped as instructed. Sentence-ending periods in the footnotes are faint or dropped out in this 1-bit scan (they read as blank gaps); they are rendered here as periods, which is how the source sets them. Footnote 1's marker is attached to the caption, which is excluded per instructions. All printed figures are internally consistent: every row's six filing-party cells sum to its Total, and the five case-type blocks sum to the first block for all five row lines. No misprints detected.
