Reader’s notes
p. 238. Ten columns: the stub plus three court groups (Total—all courts, In courts of appeals, In district courts), each with "Number decided", "Upholding Board position" and "Contrary to Board position". The tall "Number decided" heading spans the two lowest heading levels and is repeated there; "Type of litigation" spans all four levels. The label of the first "Other" row (under "To restrain NLRB from") is printed as "Other." with a trailing period; the terminal period was treated as leader punctuation and dropped. The scan is light and dotted in places — stray specks appear after several row labels (e.g. "To defend Board's jurisdiction", "Enforcing subpoena", "Take action in R Case") and in blank areas of the grid; these are leader dots or scan noise, not values. The "4" in the last column of the "Total—all types" row sits slightly low and close to the column edge but is unambiguous. All printed subtotals and totals are internally consistent (components sum to each section total, and the two section totals sum to "Total—all types" in every column); nothing appears misprinted.
