75 of 81 figures sit in a row or column sum that works out. 1 cell breaks a sum: 'Elections', column 2: prints 7,659, columns 3 to 7 add to 7,658.
Reader’s notes
p. 209. Seven columns: stub, Total, and five columns under the spanner "Type of election". The footnote marker 1 is attached to the caption, which is omitted per instructions. Suspected misprint: in the "All types, total / Elections" row the Stipulated cell is printed 5,834, but the four case-type components (RC 4,952 + RM 153 + RD 672 + UD 58) sum to 5,835, and the All-types Elections row across the five election types sums to 7,658 rather than the printed total 7,659. Transcribed as printed. Every other row and column in the table cross-foots exactly. The last three rows (UD cases: Elections, Eligible voters, Valid votes) show only leader dots in the "Expedited elections under 8(b)(7)(C)" column, transcribed as empty cells. Section labels "All types, total", "RC cases", "RM cases", "RD cases" and "UD cases" carry no values of their own. The scan is slightly degraded (dotted i's lost, e.g. "Ehgible"/"Stipulated"), but all digits are legible; no doubtful cells.
