Reader’s notes

p. 306. Six printed columns: stub, Total, then four columns under the spanner "Number of cases" / "Identification of petitioner" (Employer, Union, Courts, State boards). The "Total" column sits outside the "Number of cases" spanner (its rule starts to the right of the Total column) and runs the full height of the heading block, so it is repeated in all three heading levels. The stub has no printed heading, hence empty stub cells in the header rows. The footnote marker 1 belongs to the caption, which is excluded per instructions. In the last row label the abbreviation is printed "Sept" followed by extra space where a period would sit; no period is legible in the scan, so none was transcribed. The scan renders some dotted i/í accents oddly (e.g., "Identífication", "petitioner", "Received", "Sept"), but the wording is unambiguous; headings are transcribed in normal spelling. A stray ink mark appears at the far right of the footnote line; it is not a footnote marker.
