The column assignment is corroborated by the printed arithmetic: 53+92+525=670, 1+1+4=6, and 599+617+8=1,224; no printed figure appears inconsistent. The figures 599, 617 and 8 sit roughly one digit-width to the left of the other leaf values (3, 38, 42, etc.), but they belong to the same innermost value column, as the sum to 1,224 confirms. A short horizontal rule is printed beneath 1,224 in the rightmost column, indicating a grand total that falls below the bottom edge of the crop; that total row is not visible here.
