0 of 12 figures sit in a row or column sum that works out.
p. 330. Six printed columns: stub, Total, and four petitioner columns (Employer, Union, Courts, State Boards) under the spanner "Identification of Petitioner", itself under "Number of Cases". "Total" is a tall single heading spanning all three heading levels; the stub has no printed heading, so cell 0 is empty in every heading level. The scan has systematic loss of small dots (the body type shows dotless i's, e.g. "Pendıng", "Unıon", "Identıficatıon"); accordingly the period after "Sept" in the last row label and the final period of the footnote are not visible on the image but are restored here as the intended text. In the first body row ("Pending October 1, 1978") there is a small stray tick mark just left of the 0 in the Courts column; it is scanner dirt, not a footnote marker or a digit, so the cell is transcribed as 0. The caption carries footnote marker 1 ("Fiscal Year 1979^1"), which is recorded elsewhere. Columns check out arithmetically (On docket = Pending + Received; Pending Sept. 30 = On docket - Closed), with no apparent misprints.
