Reader’s notes
p. 328. 12 columns: stub, Total proceedings, two columns under "Injunction proceedings" (Pending Oct 1 / Filed), Total dispositions, six under "Disposition of injunctions" (Granted, Denied, Settled, Withdrawn, Dismissed, Inactive), and Pending Sept 30, 1979. The stub column has no printed heading, so cell 0 of both heading levels is empty. Suspected misprint in a heading: the second column of "Injunction proceedings" reads "Pending in district court Oct 1, 1979"; for fiscal year 1979 this should almost certainly be Oct 1, 1978. Transcribed exactly as printed. The three "Under Sec ... Total" stub labels may carry an abbreviation period after "Sec" that did not survive the scan (the gap before the section number is wide); transcribed as "Under Sec 10(e) Total", etc., without a period. Arithmetic cross-checks all pass, which supports the column assignment: within the 10(j) block the 15 detail rows sum to the printed totals in every one of the 11 columns, and likewise for the 16 detail rows of the 10(l) block; in each row Pending + Filed = Total proceedings, the six disposition cells sum to Total dispositions, and Total proceedings - Total dispositions = Pending Sept 30. Minor scan artifacts, no effect on values: a small ink speck sits near the Withdrawn/Dismissed rule on the "8(b)(4)(B), 8(e)" row, and faint specks appear in the leader-dot runs. The table caption names Sections 10(j) and 10(l) only, but the body opens with an "Under Sec 10(e) Total" line; that line is transcribed as a normal data row.
