Arithmetic cross-checks all pass: in every data row the four main components (won-for-unions total, won-for-no-union, lost-for-unions total, lost-for-no-union) sum to "Total valid votes cast", the component union columns sum to the "Total" within each "Votes for unions" block, and the "1-union elections" and "2-union elections" subtotals equal the sums of their member rows in all 13 numeric columns. No misprints detected. Doubtful text (not numbers): - Section line, row 1: printed as "A" followed by a gap then "All representation elections". A period after "A" is consistent with the series style but is not clearly resolvable at this scan resolution; transcribed as "A. All representation elections". - The "v" (versus) separators in the row labels are printed inconsistently. Most are a bare "v", but a period appears after the first "v" in "AFL-CIO v. Teamsters v local" and after the second "v" in "Teamsters v national v. local". These two dots are faint and could be print specks rather than intentional periods. - In the stub, the multi-line labels "AFL-CIO v AFL-CIO v AFL-CIO / v AFL-CIO" and "AFL-CIO v Teamsters v national v / local" were joined into single labels. Column placement of lone zeros was checked against the union types named in each row label (e.g. in "AFL-CIO v national v local" the filled lost-side cells are AFL-CIO unions, Other national unions and Other local unions), and every row is internally consistent on that test. p. 314. Continuation page: no column headings are printed on this crop, so header_rows is empty. The grid is the stub plus 13 numeric columns. Column structure inferred from the printed figures (not used to alter any cell): col 1 is a total that equals col 2 + col 7 + col 8 + col 13; col 2 is the sum of cols 3-6 and col 8 the sum of cols 9-12, each quartet being AFL-CIO / Teamsters / other national / other local, as fixed by the four single-union rows (AFL-CIO 46,415 in col 3; Teamsters 14,741 in col 4; Other national 10,180 in col 5; Other local 5,635 in col 6). Every row sum and every column sum in the three blocks checks out against the printed subtotals and the "Total RC elections" line, which is strong evidence that each value is under the right column. Doubtful row label: the eighth row of the 2-union block reads to me as "National v Teamsters", but its figures sit in the "other national" and "other local" columns (108 and 278 in cols 5 and 6; 0 and 11 in cols 11 and 12), with dash rules under both the AFL-CIO and Teamsters columns, and the column subtotals only balance with the values in those positions (col 4 subtotal 2,584 = 1,536+138+873+37 leaves no room for 108). The block also otherwise enumerates each distinct pair exactly once, and a "National v local" line is the only one missing while "Teamsters v national" already appears. So this label is most likely "National v local" either misprinted in the report or lost to the coarse 1-bit scan; I transcribed the characters as I read them. Periods after "v" in the union-pairing labels are mostly invisible in this scan and are transcribed as seen; they do survive in two places ("AFL-CIO v. national v local" and the second line of "AFL-CIO v AFL-CIO v AFL-CIO v. p. 315. 14 columns: stub, "Total valid votes cast", then six columns under "Valid votes cast in elections won" (Total / AFL-CIO unions / Teamsters / Other national unions / Other local unions, plus "Total votes for no union"), and the same six under "Valid votes cast in elections lost". Suspected misprint, transcribed as printed: in the "2-union elections" row the "Valid votes cast in elections won — Votes for unions — Total" cell reads 909, the same as the "Total valid votes cast" cell. The component columns of that row sum to 901 (548 + 210 + 0 + 143), 909 − 8 votes for no union = 901, and the "Total RM elections" figure 2,020 − 1,119 (1-union elections) = 901. The printed digits are nevertheless 9-0-9, not 9-0-1. Punctuation: this is a coarse 1-bit scan and small periods are largely lost. The section line prints as "C" followed by a wide space before "Elections", and the paired-union labels print as "AFL-CIO v AFL-CIO" etc.; I have transcribed the customary periods ("C." and "v.") since the spacing indicates they are present, but they are not individually legible at this resolution. Cells shown as a dash rule ("----------") have been transcribed as "" throughout; printed zeros are kept as 0. Note the contrast in the paired-union block, where the "elections lost" side mixes printed 0s and dash rules row by row. Stray ink specks, not transcribed: a small mark at the left edge of the "National v. local" figure 110 (Total valid votes cast column), and a comma-like speck between 909 and 548 in the "2-union elections" row. Punctuation is routinely lost in this scan (the band reads \"D Elections in RD cases\" with no period after \"D\", the versus rows read \"v\" with no period, and no period is visible at the end of the footnote); all are transcribed as printed. In the \"AFL-CIO v AFL-CIO\" row, column 6 (the sixth data column, i.e. the last of the four sub-columns following column 2) shows a dash rule with a small ink speck above it; I read it as an empty dash-rule cell, not a value. Every value was cross-checked: in each row column 1 = col 2 + col 7 + col 8 + col 13, columns 3-6 sum to column 2 and columns 9-12 sum to column 8, and the three subtotal rows plus \"Total RD elections\" all foot exactly, so no misprints are suspected.
