Reader’s notes
p. 277. Nine columns: stub plus four two-column groups (Number / Percent by type). The stub column has no printed heading, so cell 0 of both heading levels is empty. Decimal points: in this scan the period in many percentage cells has dropped out of the 1-bit image, so they read as e.g. "100 0", "32 6", "35 0", "33 3", "34 4", "65 0", "20 0". Other cells in the same columns print the period clearly ("100.0", "67.4", "27.5", "65.6", "27.8", "73.3", "33.3"). I have transcribed all of these with the decimal point, as the printed one-decimal format and the arithmetic both confirm it (e.g. 42/129 = 32.6, 8/30 = 26.7, 6/30 = 20.0); every percentage in the table checks out against its Number cell and the group total. Dash-rule cells (printed as "- - - - - -") are rendered as "" : Union certified Percent for RM cases, RD cases and Expedited elections; No union chosen Percent for Expedited elections; Outcome of original election reversed Percent for RD cases and Expedited elections. The row label "Regional director-directed elections" is printed over two lines with an end-of-line hyphen in "elec-/tions"; the hyphen in "director-directed" is original and kept. The caption carries footnote marker 1 (omitted per instructions); footnote 1 is still listed since it is printed under the table.
