Reader’s notes
p. 276. The stub column has no printed heading, so cell 0 of both heading levels is empty. The "Sustained" spanner carries footnote marker 2. Doubtful / anomalous cells: - "All representation elections", Overruled-Percent: printed as "80 95" (the decimal point is faint in the scan). Every other percent in the table carries one decimal, so this appears to be a misprint with an extra digit; 693/856 truncates to 80.95 (or 80.9). Transcribed as printed, "80.95". - "All representation elections", Sustained-Percent: reads "19.4", but 163/856 = 19.04; the other rows' percentages are consistent truncations, so this value is either a misprint in the source or possibly a degraded "19.0". Transcribed as it appears. - "Regional director-directed Eelections": the label wraps as "Regional director-directed" / "Eelections"; the second line plainly begins with a capital E followed by "elections", i.e. an apparent typographical error in the original. Transcribed as printed; the intended wording is presumably "Regional director-directed elections". - Several decimal points and the digits in the degraded typeface render faintly (e.g. "86 1", "81 8", "20 8", "0 0"); these have been read as "86.1", "81.8", "20.8", "0.0" and all are consistent with the underlying counts.
