Reader’s notes

p. 270. Table is a single panel: stub plus 8 case-type groups (All C, CA, CB, CC, CD, CE, CG, CP), each with a "Number of cases" and a "Percent of cases closed" column = 17 columns. Decimal points: in many percent cells the printed decimal point has dropped out or faded in this scan, so the glyphs read as a space (e.g. "100 0", "86 4", "9 1", "0 8", "0 0"). Every one of these cells is a percentage printed to one decimal place, and neighbouring cells in the same columns show the point clearly (88.0, 4.4, 0.7, 1.9, 84.1, 85.7), so I have transcribed them with the decimal point restored. Affected cells: Total row (All C, CA, CB, CC, CD, CE, CG percent); "Before issuance of complaint" (All C, CA, CB, CD, CE); "After issuance of complaint..." (All C, CA, CC, CD, CE, CP); "After hearing opened..." (CA, CB, CC); "After administrative law judge's decision..." (CA); "After Board order adopting..." (All C, CA, CB, CC); "After Board decision..." (CA, CB, CC, CD); "After circuit court decree..." (CB, CD); "After Supreme Court action" (CP). Percent cells shown as a dash rule ("--------") are transcribed as "": "After hearing opened..." (CD, CE, CG); "After administrative law judge's decision..." (CB, CC, CD, CE, CG, CP); "After Board order adopting..." (CD, CG); "After Supreme Court action" (CB, CC, CD, CE). In each of those the paired "Number of cases" cell prints an explicit 0, which is kept as 0. The caption carries footnote marker 1, which is excluded per instructions; the footnote text itself is retained. No values computed or corrected. Column sums were not verified, but note that the CP "Number of cases" entries (403+51+1+0+5+7+3+1 = 471) and the other columns appear internally consistent as printed.
