Injunction Litigation Under Section 10(e), 10(j), and 10(l), Fiscal Year 1977

p. 326. Twelve columns: stub, Total proceedings, two Injunction proceedings columns, Total dispositions, six Disposition of injunctions columns, and Pending in district court September 30, 1977. "Total proceedings", "Total dispositions" and "Pending in district court September 30, 1977" are tall headings spanning both heading levels; the stub has no printed heading. Scan quality: in the two tightly-leaded body blocks the digits of the right-hand columns sit slightly lower than the stub label they belong to, and the narrow Granted/Denied and Dismissed/Inactive columns carry many isolated single digits, so the column a lone 1 or 0 belongs to is hard to fix by eye. Three cells where my first visual impression conflicted with the printed row and column totals, and where I followed the totals (every other row and every other column in the table cross-foots exactly as printed, so a reading error is far more likely than a misprint): (a) 8(b)(4)(B)(C), Granted/Denied — transcribed 1 and 0; reading them as 0 and 1 would make the Granted column sum to 94 against the printed 95 and Denied to 8 against the printed 7. (b) 8(b)(1) and 8(b)(1)(2), Inactive — transcribed 1 and 0; I twice thought I saw a 1 on both lines, but a 1 for 8(b)(1)(2) would give that row 3 dispositions against its printed total of 2 and would make the Inactive column sum to 2 against the printed 1 for sec. 10(j). Readers needing these three cells should re-check them at higher magnification. Row label "Under sec. 10(l), total": the character inside the parentheses is printed in a face where lowercase l and digit 1 are nearly identical and here reads like a 1; I have transcribed it as 10(l), matching the statute and the table caption. Row label "Under sec 10(j), total": no period is visible after "sec" in the scan, unlike the 10(e) and 10(l) rows; transcribed as it appears. The Granted figure 3 for 8(b)(7)(B) has a small raised speck immediately after it. It does not match the single footnote reference mark used in this table (the raised 1 on the 10(e) total) and appears to be a scan artifact, so it is transcribed as a plain 3.
