The first body line repeats the stub heading wording, "Standard Federal regions 1", as a section label with no values; it is transcribed as its own row. Two cells in the last column ("Eligible employees in units choosing representation") have a thousands separator that scans as a period rather than a comma: Connecticut prints as "3.971" and Tennessee as "6.258". Both are written here with commas (3,971 and 6,258) because the column holds integer employee counts and the region subtotals confirm the values: 3,971+1,250+4,399+522+657+460 = 11,259 (Region I) and 7,991+2,923+3,427+4,352+1,944+1,872+4,513+6,258 = 33,280 (Region IV). The marks are broken commas, not decimal points. Two cells carry stray scan specks that are not footnote markers and were ignored: Virgin Islands "202" (Number of employees eligible to vote) and Pennsylvania "34,869" (same column). Ambiguous glyphs resolved by arithmetic: South Carolina "Total valid votes cast" reads 6,969 (not 8,969), since 3,280 + 3,689 = 6,969 and the Region IV column total of 86,407 requires 6,969; South Carolina "Number of employees eligible to vote" reads 7,669, which the Region IV total of 95,183 confirms. Mississippi "Valid votes cast for unions — AFL-CIO unions" reads 1,875 (not 1,876), since 1,875+272+0+306 = 2,453. All rows were verified against four internal identities and every one balances, with no misprints found: total elections = union-won total + no-representative-chosen; union-won total = AFL-CIO + Teamsters + other national + other local; total valid votes cast = valid votes for unions + votes for no union; valid votes for unions = its four components. Each region subtotal also equals the sum of its member states in every one of the 16 numeric columns.

p. 318. The crop is a continuation page: no column headings or caption are printed on it, so header_rows is empty. The grid has 17 columns (stub plus 16 data columns), counted from the column rules; the last data column is separated from the rest by a wider gutter at the right of the page. Only Regions V through X are on this image; the states of Regions I-IV appear on the preceding page, so the final "Total, all Federal regions" row cannot be checked against the rows shown here. Every region subtotal row that IS shown (Regions V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X) was verified by summing its member states in all 16 data columns, and all of them reconcile exactly, which supports the digit readings and the column alignment throughout the body. Two readings worth flagging even though they check out arithmetically: Wisconsin carries 6,426 in both column 10 and column 16 (the duplicate is genuine - the Region V subtotals 60,351 and 56,712 both reconcile with it), and Idaho's column 10 value 2,211 is unusually close to its column 1 neighbours but is confirmed by the Region X subtotal of 9,211. The row label printed for Colorado reads "Colorada" on this scan (final letter appears as an "a" rather than an "o"); it is transcribed as printed. "Guam" is listed as a separate stub line within the Region IX block, as printed. A small stray ink mark sits in the right margin beside the Colorado/Montana rows, outside the last column rule; it is a page artifact, not a value or a footnote marker.
