Reader’s notes
p. 307. The stub column has no printed heading; its header cells are empty at both levels. Nine columns: stub plus four two-column groups (Number / Percent by type). Decimal points: this scan drops many periods, so several percent cells print as e.g. "100 0", "5 4", "20 0", "31 4", "40 0", "67 7". I have written these with the decimal point ("100.0", "5.4", "20.0", "31.4", "40.0", "67.7") on the same principle as repairing "8, 044" to "8,044"; the digits themselves are unambiguous and all of them reconcile with the Number columns (e.g. 7/129 = 5.4, 10/31 = 32.3, 21/31 = 67.7). Periods are likewise faint or missing in the two footnotes and I have restored them there ("i e ," -> "i.e.,", sentence stops after "certification" and "objections"). Cells printed as a dash rule are transcribed as "": the Percent-by-type cells for RM cases (Union certified, Outcome reversed), RD cases none, Consent elections (Outcome reversed), Expedited elections (all four percent cells), and Board-directed elections (Union certified, Outcome reversed). The "Expedited elections" row prints 0 in all four Number columns with no percentages; the dash rule is clearest under the first Percent column, and the remaining three percent cells are blank or faint dash rules - either way they are empty. The row label "Regional director-directed elections" is printed over two lines with an end-of-line hyphen ("elec- tions") and has been joined. A stray leader dot precedes "All representation elections" in the stub; it is a leader artifact, not a footnote marker. Internal arithmetic is consistent: both panels of subtotals (by type of case, by type of election) sum to the "All representation elections" line in every Number column (123+1+5=129; 10+86+0+31+2=129), so no misprint is suspected.
