"Number decided" is a tall heading spanning the "Court determination" level, so it is repeated in header levels 3 and 4. Doubtful/inconsistent cell: row "To prevent discovery against Board", column "In district courts / Number decided" is transcribed as printed as 2, but it is arithmetically inconsistent two ways — the four NLRB-initiated sub-rows then sum to 3 in that column against the printed subtotal of 2 (0+2+0+1), and within the row itself 2 decided vs. 1 upholding + 0 contrary does not balance. A printed 1 would reconcile both. The glyph reads as a 2 on this scan, but 1 vs. 2 is the plausible confusion here, so this cell should be re-checked against the source page. All other columns reconcile: the three top-level categories (NLRB-initiated 2, Action by other parties 0, To compel NLRB to 8) sum to the printed Totals—all types of 10 / 2 / 8 across the three "Number decided" columns, and the "To compel NLRB to" sub-rows sum exactly to that subtotal in all nine columns. The second footnote carries an asterisk marker, but no asterisk is visible on any row label, heading or value in the table body; the marker may sit on a part of the page outside this crop or may be a leftover from a related table. A rotated running head ("Forty-second Annual Report of the National Labor Relations Board" and the page number) runs down the right margin of the crop; it is outside the table rules and is not transcribed.
