Reader’s notes
p. 259. Nine columns: stub plus four two-column groups (Number / Percent by type). The stub has no printed heading, so cell 0 of both heading levels is empty. Periods drop out of this 1-bit scan almost everywhere: the percent cells read "100 0", "35 7", "64 3", "17 9", "33 3", "66 7", "14 3", "42 9", "57 1", "28 6" on the page, and the footnote text shows "1 e ," for "i.e.,". I have restored the decimal points (and the footnote sentence periods), since every percent column is printed to one decimal and each value checks out against its Number column (e.g. 10/28 = 35.7, 3/7 = 42.9). No digits were altered. Section-line punctuation is uncertain for the same reason: "By type of case" shows a single faint mark after it and "By type of election" shows none. NLRB house style uses a colon for both, so I have written both with a colon; if the mark matters, treat it as doubtful. The third case-type row is printed as just "RD" followed by leader dots, with no "cases" — unlike "RC cases" and "RM cases" above it. Transcribed as printed; this is likely a printer's omission. Percent cells for the all-zero rows (RM cases, RD, Consent elections, Expedited elections, Board-directed elections) hold only a dashed rule, so they are empty strings; their Number cells hold a printed 0. Footnote marker 1 is attached to the caption, which is excluded per instructions; marker 2 is attached to the "Total rerun elections" heading and is recorded there.
