Reader’s notes
p. 253. Eleven columns: stub plus five case-type panels (All R, RC, RM, RD, UD), each with a "Number of cases" and a "Percent of cases closed" column; all are column groups of one table, not side-by-side panels. Decimal points in the percent columns scanned faintly and several read as a blank space in the image (e.g. "100 0", "36 1", "60 7", "0 8", "29 5"). Every percent in the table is printed to one decimal place, and the neighbouring cells where the point survived (100.0, 49.7, 34.1, 15.8, 11.1, 0.7) confirm the format, so these have been transcribed with the decimal point restored. No digits were altered. Dash rules ("------") stand in the "Percent of cases closed" cells of UD cases for "After hearing closed before issuance of decision", and of RM, RD and UD cases for "After issuance of Board decision"; these are given as "" per instruction, while the accompanying printed zeros in the "Number of cases" cells are kept as 0. The caption carries footnote marker 1 ("...Transition Quarter (July-September 1976) 1"), which is why footnote 1 has no in-body anchor. The footnote appears to be printed without a terminal period. Scan quality is otherwise good; there are stray ink specks above the "All R cases" number column and to the left of the "After issuance of regional director's decision" label that are not characters.
