Fourteen columns: stub, "Cases in which formal actions taken", then the twelve columns under "Formal actions taken by type of case", of which "CD" is split into "Jurisdictional disputes" and "Unfair labor practices". Vertical misregistration in the last column ("Other C combinations"): in the bottom block (the rows under "Decisions and orders by the Board, total") its eight figures are printed progressively lower than the rows they belong to, so the last of them sits below the final printed row line. I assigned them in printed order to the eight data rows of that block (Initial decisions 1; Supplemental decisions 0; Initial ULP decisions [adopting] 2; Backpay decisions [adopting] 0; Initial ULP decisions [contested] 1; Decisions based on stipulated record 0; Supplemental ULP decisions 0; Backpay decisions 0). This assignment is confirmed arithmetically: each row's "Total formal actions taken" equals the sum of its type-of-case cells only under this reading, and the column sums to the 4 printed on the "Decisions and orders by the Board, total" line. Punctuation on two section lines is degraded in the scan: "Upon consent of parties." and "Adopting administrative law judges decisions (no exceptions filed)." each end in a single dot that may be a broken colon (compare the clear colon on "Contested:"). Transcribed as the mark appears. In the "10(k) notices of hearings issued" row only three cells carry figures (21, 20, and 20 under CD "Jurisdictional disputes"); every other cell on that line is a dash rule and is given as "". Dash rules (not zeros) occupy the CD "Jurisdictional disputes" cell on most rows; these are rendered "". Caption and its footnote reference, and the footnote text line, are handled per instructions; the caption read "Table 3A.—Formal Actions Taken in Unfair Labor Practice Cases, Transition Quarter (July–September 1976) 1". All printed row and column totals check out against their components, so no misprints are suspected.
