p. 247. 15 columns: stub, 5 under "Number of polls", 5 under "Employees involved (number eligible to vote)", 4 under "Valid votes cast" (Total; Percent of total eligible; Cast for deauthorization: Number, Percent of total eligible). The group boundary between the second and third spanner is placed immediately left of the 4,288 column; this is confirmed arithmetically (1,631 + 3,638 = 5,269 total eligible, so 4,288 is not an employees-involved figure, and 4,288/5,269 = 81.4, matching the adjacent percent cell). Suspected misprint: "Other national unions", column "Valid votes cast / Percent of total eligible" reads 49.0, but 795 valid votes of 1,010 eligible is 78.7 percent. Every other cell in that column checks out (2,528/3,030 = 83.4; 598/702 = 85.2; 367/527 = 69.6). Transcribed as printed. The glyph is read as "49.0"; "79.0" is a less likely alternative reading, still not equal to the computed value. Decimal points: this 1-bit scan drops or badly thins the period in several percent cells, which print as a gap (e.g. "69 0", "81 4", "27 4", "52 7", "83 4", "38 4", "20 7", "7 9", "88 2", "69 6", "40 0", "7 6"). These are decimal fractions in percent columns and every one agrees with the computed ratio, so they are transcribed with the decimal point. All other column sums check against the Total row: polls 74+22+5+10 = 111, 39+16+3+4 = 62, 35+6+2+6 = 49; eligible 3,030+702+1,010+527 = 5,269; in-polls 1,332+157+80+62 = 1,631 and 1,698+545+930+465 = 3,638; valid votes 2,528+598+795+367 = 4,288; cast for deauthorization 1,164+145+77+57 = 1,443. The scan renders many "i" dots faintly, so "union" often looks like "umon" in the stub heading and row labels; spelled normally here.
