p. 262. Twelve columns: stub, five "Number of proceedings" columns, four "Percentages" columns, and the two cumulative columns (Number, Percent). The stub has no printed heading, so cell 0 of each heading level is empty; "July 5, 1935-June 30, 1975" is a tall heading spanning the top two levels and is repeated over both its columns. The scan has dropped many small decimal points in the percentage columns; where the printed digits read as e.g. "79 3", "10 0", "15 0", "100 0", "33 3", "15 5", "7 9", "7 5", "0 5" I have transcribed the decimal point that the typesetting requires (79.3, 10.0, 15.0, 100.0, 33.3, 15.5, 7.9, 7.5, 0.5). All of these are confirmed by the arithmetic of their own columns (e.g. 46/58 = 79.3, 33/213 = 15.5, 1/213 = 0.5), so no value is in doubt, only the clarity of the dot. Cells printed as a dashed rule (not applicable) are rendered as "". In the first body row the four percentage cells carry dashed rules and the two cumulative cells are blank; both are "" here. For "On petitions for contempt" the two cumulative cells carry dashed rules; for the three contempt detail rows beneath it they are blank. Footnote 1: the closing punctuation after the second occurrence of "case" is faint in the scan; I read it as a period inside the quotation marks. Footnote 3: the second period in "421 U.S. 616" is likewise faint and has been supplied. In the "Remanded to Board" row of the Supreme Court panel the cumulative Number reads 17 against a printed percent of 7.9 (17/213 = 7.98); this is as printed, not a transcription slip.
