p. 253. The crop is cut off at the bottom: the table continues past "District of Columbia" (the South Atlantic division and its subtotal, and all remaining divisions, are not on this image). Consequently no footnote text is printed on this crop, although the stub heading carries a raised "1" marker (transcribed as "Division and State^1"). Division subtotal rows (New England, Middle Atlantic, East North Central, West North Central) are printed indented and set off by rules; they are transcribed as ordinary body rows in stub order. The blank bands between divisions are typographic spacing only, not label-only rows. Every value was cross-checked arithmetically and all checks pass: in each state row the four union-type columns sum to the "Total" won column, Total won + "no representative chosen" = Total elections, the four union vote columns sum to "Valid votes cast for unions: Total", and that total + "Total votes for no union" = "Total valid votes cast". Each division subtotal also equals the sum of its member states in all 16 numeric columns. No misprints detected. Minor image artifacts, all resolved: Connecticut's "Total elections" is preceded by a stray leader-dot/comma mark at the column edge (value is 87, confirmed by 47 + 40 = 87); "West North Central" total elections 666 likewise has a stray mark after it. Michigan's "Other national unions" 51 and Maryland's "Other local unions" 3 print faintly but are confirmed by the row sums.

p. 254. Continuation page: no column headings are printed on this crop, so header_rows is empty. The table has 17 columns (stub + 16 numeric), counted from the column rules and confirmed by the total line. The crop begins in the middle of the South Atlantic section: only Virginia through Florida are printed, and their column-1 values sum to 596 against the printed South Atlantic subtotal of 842, so the earlier States of that region (and everything above them) are on the preceding page. Every other section here is complete. All values are printed one half-line above their row labels throughout the table; the mapping is one-to-one in order within each section (e.g. the Pacific block has 5 labels and 5 value lines, with California on the third). Cross-checks: in every printed row and subtotal, col2 = col3+col4+col5+col6, col1 = col2+col7, col10 = col11+col12+col13+col14, and col9 = col10+col15; all 36 rows reconcile, and each section subtotal equals the sum of its printed States (except South Atlantic, whose missing States are on the previous page). No arithmetic discrepancies were found. Scan specks, not transcribed as characters: a stray mark before "247" (New Mexico) and before "191" (Arizona) in column 14; a stray mark before "542" (Idaho, column 15); a mark after "2,455" (South Atlantic, column 14) and after "673" (Florida, column 14); a mark before "0" (Virgin Islands, column 6). None are footnote markers — each value is confirmed by the row and column sums. The footnote reference "1" applies to a stub or column heading printed on the previous page; no footnote marker appears on this crop. The footnote line ends without a period as printed.
