Row labels in the stub are inconsistently punctuated in the original ("v" vs "v." between union names); they are transcribed exactly as printed. Two labels wrap in print and are joined here: "AFL-CIO v AFL-CIO v. AFL-CIO" and "AFL-CIO v. AFL-CIO v. national v local". The grid has 14 columns (stub + 13 value columns), counted from the column rules and confirmed by the "Total RC elections" line. "B. Elections in RC cases" is printed centred above the table's top rule; it is carried as a section row with no values. Column placement was checked against the printed subtotals and every column cross-foots: each of the 13 value columns in the 1-union block sums to the "1-union elections" line, in the 2-union block to "2-union elections", in the 3-or-more block to "3 (or more)-union elections", and those three subtotals sum to "Total RC elections". No discrepancies were found. Possible misprint in a row label: the row printed "National v. Teamsters" carries its values in the 5th/6th and 11th/12th value columns — the columns that every other row uses for "other national" and "other local" unions — and contributes nothing to the Teamsters columns (the Teamsters column total 5,695 = 4,418+399+826+52 excludes it, while the national column total 2,663 and local column total 16,474 include its 1,065 and 615). The arithmetic therefore fits a row for national v. local; the label is transcribed as printed. Bottom of crop: the footnote line is clipped horizontally — only the upper halves of the letters are visible. I read it as "See Glossary for definitions of terms."; no footnote marker is visible before "See", and any further footnote lines below are cut off by the crop. Doubtful cells: - "AFL-CIO v. Teamsters", last column: a speck precedes the figure so it prints as ".15"; transcribed as 15, which is consistent with the column total 697 (15+0+512+170+0). - "AFL-CIO", last column: a stray mark sits above the "0" in 5,096; read as 5,096, consistent with the 1-union total 7,278. - Two-union row labels: the period after "v" is clearly inked in "AFL-CIO v. national" and "Teamsters v. local" but faint or absent in "AFL-CIO v Teamsters", "AFL-CIO v local" and "National v local".
