The crop shows only the manufacturing portion of the table, ending at the "Manufacturing" subtotal line and a double rule; the remainder of the table (nonmanufacturing groups and the grand total) continues on following pages, and no footnote texts are printed on this image. Two footnote markers are therefore unresolved here: a raised 1 on the caption (not transcribed, per instructions) and a raised 2 on the stub heading "Industrial group". The CG column is 0 in every row including the total. All arithmetic is internally consistent as transcribed: in every row CA+CB+CC+CD+CE+CG+CP equals "All C cases", RC+RM+RD equals "All R cases", and All C + All R + UD + AC + UC equals "All cases"; and each column's 22 industry entries sum exactly to the printed "Manufacturing" total. Scan speckle makes a few row labels look odd (e.g. "Food.and'kindred products", "Printing; publishing"); these were read as "Food and kindred products" and "Printing, publishing, and allied products". The UD, AC and UC entries for "Tobacco manufactures" are each 0 (tight line spacing makes these three columns hard to align by eye near the top of the table, but the row and column sums confirm the reading).

No column headings are printed on it, so header_rows is empty; the caption and the earlier industry divisions are on the preceding page. 17 columns (stub + 16 numeric), counted from the column rules and confirmed by the "Total, all industrial groups" line. ARITHMETIC STRUCTURE (used to check the reading): numeric col 1 = col 2 + col 10 + col 14 + col 15 + col 16; col 2 = sum of cols 3-9; col 10 = sum of cols 11-13. Every row of the Mining, trade and Transportation blocks, the three subtotal rows and the grand total satisfy all three relations exactly, and every column of the Services block except cols 1, 2 and 16 sums to its printed "Services" subtotal. The exceptions below are therefore either source misprints or hard-to-read digits; all are transcribed exactly as they appear. DOUBTFUL / NON-ADDING CELLS, all in the Services block: - "Hotels, rooming houses, camps, and other lodging places", numeric col 1: read as 784; the row's own parts give 559 + 236 + 6 + 0 + 3 = 804. - "Amusement and recreation services (except motion pictures)", numeric col 1: read as 276; the row's parts give 278. - "Health services", numeric col 2: read as 1,423, but cols 3-9 of that row sum to 1,483, and the printed Services subtotal of 4,014 also requires 1,483. The row's col 1 (2,948) is however exactly consistent with 1,423, not with 1,483. - "Membership organizations", numeric col 1: read as 218; the row's parts give 213. - Numeric col 16: the 13 Services detail rows as transcribed sum to 95 against the printed Services subtotal of 98. The 2 on "Amusement and recreation services" and the 3 on "Membership organizations" are the least legible cells in that column; reading them as 0 and 8 would reconcile both those rows' totals and the column. - Numeric col 1: the 13 Services detail rows as transcribed sum to 6,970 against the printed Services subtotal of 7,050 (deficit 80 = the 20 and 60 of the Hotels and Health discrepancies above). OTHER: - "Oil and gas extraction", numeric col 15: the glyph is smudged and could be taken for a 6; both the row total (48) and the Mining subtotal (1 in that column) require 0, and 0 is transcribed. - Small stray ink marks sit just left of the 47 on "Business services" (col 5), left of the value on "Motion pictures" (col 14) and left of the 42 on the "Services" subtotal (col 14); they are scan artifacts, not digits or footnote markers. - Footnote 2: the character between "Source" and "Standard" is not legible at this resolution; transcribed as a colon.
