p. 222. Crop: the left edge of the image clips the first characters of the two unindented row labels. They print as "earings completed" and "cision issued after hearing"; they are transcribed as "Hearings completed" and "Decision issued after hearing", the only readings the surviving letters and the standard wording of this table allow. All other labels are fully inside the crop. The right-hand rule of the UC column falls at or just past the image edge, but no UC digits appear to be lost (values are right-aligned well inside the edge). Arithmetic: in several rows the "Cases in which formal actions taken" figure exceeds AC + UC, and all are transcribed as printed: 120 vs 15+98=113 (Hearings completed); 126 vs 15+96=111 (Decision issued after hearing); 111 vs 12+89=101 (By regional directors); 15 vs 3+7=10 (By Board); 10 vs 3+3=6 (Transferred by regional directors for initial decision); 5 vs 0+4=4 (Review of regional directors' decisions); 5 vs 0+4=4 (Board decision after review, total); 5 vs 0+4=4 (Affirmed). Internal column checks do hold, which supports the digit readings: 126 = 111 + 15 in the first column, 15 = 12 + 3 in AC and 96 = 89 + 7 in UC; and Granted + Denied + Remanded = 2+5+1 = 8, 0+1+0 = 1, 2+4+1 = 7, matching the "Board action on requests ruled upon, total" line in all three columns. I could not resolve whether the excess in the first column reflects a third case type not broken out or a misprint. "Regional directors' decisions" is a label-only line; the figures 5 / 0 / 4 printed beside it on the following line belong to "Affirmed", which is set one line lower.
