p. 217. Eight printed columns: stub, Total, and six filing-party columns. "RC cases", "RM cases" and "RD cases" are centered section banners printed across the data field (not in the stub column); they carry no values and are given here as section rows with the banner text in cell 0. The spanner "Identification of filing party" is taken to cover only the six party columns (AFL-CIO Unions through Employers), with "Total" as a tall heading spanning both heading levels; the rule under the spanner is faint at its left end, so it is just possible the spanner was meant to cover the Total column as well. No stub heading is printed, so cell 0 of both heading levels is empty. Cells shown as dashed leader rules (the Employers column in the RC and RD blocks, and the five union/individual columns in the RM block) are transcribed as "". Every row is internally consistent as printed: the six party cells sum to the Total in the RC and RD blocks, pending + received = on docket, and closed + pending at June 30 = on docket in all three blocks. No apparent misprints. Scan artifacts: stray specks and short tick marks appear left of some figures (e.g. before "6,478" in the RC "Closed fiscal 1975" row, before "2,973" and before "1,152"); these are read as dirt, not as digits or footnote markers. The footnote line ends without a period as printed.
