Reader’s notes
p. 233. The scan reproduces most decimal points in the percent columns very faintly or not at all, so many cells read as e.g. "100 0", "30 8", "69 2", "43 1", "28 3", "71 7", "42 5", "71 4", "28 6", "42 9", "50 0", "30 2", "69 8", "45 8", "32 1". A few cells in the same columns do show the period clearly ("66.7", "100. 0", "28.6", "71 4"/"28.6" in the regional-director row), confirming these are one-decimal percentages whose points dropped out in printing/scanning; I have transcribed them all with the decimal point. Similarly, the sentence periods and the periods in "i.e." in footnote 2 are faint/absent on the scan and have been restored. The two percent cells in the "Expedited elections" and "Board-directed elections" rows under "Total rerun elections^2" appear blank, while the corresponding percent cells under "Union certified", "No union chosen" and "Outcome of original election reversed" carry a dashed rule; all are transcribed as "". The stub column has no printed heading. All printed figures are internally consistent (component counts sum to the stated totals and the percentages match), so no misprints are suspected.
