The crop shows only the first page of the table: it ends with the "Manufacturing" subtotal line (a double rule follows), and the non-manufacturing industrial groups plus the grand total continue on the following page. No footnote texts are printed on this crop, although footnote markers appear in the caption ("Fiscal Year 1974 ^1", excluded as caption) and in the stub heading ("Industrial group ^2"); the markers' definitions are presumably printed at the foot of the continuation page. Arithmetic cross-checks were consistent throughout: for every data row CA+CB+CC+CD+CE+CP = All C cases, RC+RM+RD = All R cases, and All C + All R + UD + AC + UC = All cases; each column also sums down to the printed "Manufacturing" subtotal. No misprints detected. Minor image artifacts, none affecting the reading: a stray ink speck appears after "Measuring," in that row label (transcribed as a plain comma); a small mark sits before "571" in the Textile mill products "All cases" cell (read as the digit string 571, confirmed by the row sum 408+160+2+1+0 = 571); faint specks also appear near the Petroleum refining RC/RD cells and the Primary metal industries AC cell, which do not alter those values. The text running vertically along the right edge is the page's running head, not table content.

p. 218. The crop is a continuation page: no column headings are printed on it, so header_rows is empty. The grid has 16 columns (stub + 15 numeric), counted from the column rules and confirmed against the "Total, all industrial groups" line. The table also continues from an earlier page (the industry groups before "Metal mining", e.g. agriculture and manufacturing, are not on this crop), so the printed grand total is larger than the sum of the rows shown here. Internal checks: every subtotal line (Mining, "Transportation, communication, and other utilities", Services, Public administration) sums correctly from its component rows in all columns EXCEPT one — in the last (15th numeric) column the Services subtotal is printed as 35 while its eleven component rows as transcribed (3, 2, 0, 0, 6, 4, 4, 8, 1, 1, 2) sum to 31. Either the printed subtotal is a misprint or one of the component digits in that narrow right-hand column is misread; I could not resolve it at this resolution, so all cells are left exactly as printed. Candidate cells for the 4-unit gap, in order of my doubt: "Personal services" (2), "Miscellaneous services" (2), "Educational services" (4), "Membership organizations" (4). Other doubtful spots: the "U S Postal Service" row label carries a dark blot in the leader dots just after "Service" which may be a footnote marker (likely the reference to footnote 1 or 2) or merely a scanning smudge; I transcribed no marker. The period/spacing in "U S Postal Service" is lost to the scan — it is almost certainly "U.S. Postal Service" in the original. Small stray ink marks sit before the value in "Public administration" column 3 ("1"), "Public finance, taxation, and monetary policy" column 11 ("0"), "Automotive repair, services, and garages" column 12 ("22") and "Miscellaneous services" column 14 ("0"); these are speck artifacts, not footnote markers, and the values are read as given. "Other transportation" column 9 is faint but reads 44, confirmed because the Transportation subtotal 1,791 only balances with 44.
