Reader’s notes

p. 208. Eight printed columns: stub, Total, and six "Identification of filing party" columns. The stub has no printed heading (only a stray dash-like mark above the stub rule), so cell 0 of both heading levels is empty; "Total" spans both heading levels and is repeated. The six section lines ("All cases", "Unfair labor practice cases^2", "Representation cases^3", "Union-shop deauthorization cases", "Amendment of certification cases", "Unit clarification cases") are centered banner rows spanning the data columns; they carry no values. The five data-row labels repeat identically under each section. In the "Union-shop deauthorization cases" block every cell except Total and Individuals is a dotted dash rule (------), transcribed as "". Doubtful cells: in "Amendment of certification cases", row "Pending June 30, 1974", column "Other national unions", the digit is faint/broken in the scan; read as 5, which is consistent with 12 on docket minus 7 closed. Footnote 1 ends "...not included. See table 22." — the period after "included" is very faint in the scan (it renders as a wide gap); footnote 3 has no terminal period as printed. Arithmetic checks pass throughout: within each block, Pending July 1 + Received = On docket and On docket - Closed = Pending June 30 for every column; row sums across the six filing-party columns equal Total; and the five case-type blocks sum to the "All cases" block. No misprints detected.
