71 of 103 figures sit in a row or column sum that works out. 1 cell breaks a sum: 'Stipulated elections', column 10: prints 238, columns 11 to 13 add to 239.

Reader’s notes

p. 239. 17 columns: the stub plus four panels of four columns (All R, RC, RM, RD elections), each panel carrying an "Elections conducted" spanner over its four columns. The raised 1 is printed only on the All R panel's "Resulting in certification" heading, not on the other panels'. Suspected misprint: the "Stipulated elections" row, RM panel, "Total elections" cell is transcribed as printed (238), but it fails two checks. Across the row, 3 + 5 + 231 = 239, and down the RM "Total elections" column, 78 + 238 + 52 + 2 + 30 = 400 against the printed "All types" RM figure of 401. Both point to 239. The same single-unit gap shows in the All R "Total elections" cell of that row: 5,733 + 238 + 275 = 6,246 against the printed 6,247 (6,247 is itself internally consistent, since 38 + 141 + 6,068 = 6,247). Every other cell in the table reconciles both across rows and down columns, so this one cell is either a printer's error or a scan I have read as 8 where a 9 is printed; the glyph is small and I cannot resolve it with certainty. In the "Regional director-directed / Rerun required" row, RD panel, "Resulting in a rerun or runoff" column, a small stray mark (speck or broken apostrophe) sits just before the digit; I read the value as 1, consistent with the 37 = 36 + 0 + 1 row check. Cells printed as dash rules ("----") are transcribed as empty. Leader dots after row labels are dropped. The "Expedited" label is printed with spaces inside the section reference ("8(b) (7) (C)"); I have closed them up. No period is printed after "Sec" (or it is lost in the scan), and the footnote line ends without a period.
