p. 219. Two-panel table. The left panel (section A, the 8(a) recapitulation, and section B's "Subsections of Sec 8(b)" block) is transcribed first; the right panel (the 8(b) recapitulation, B1, B2 and section C) follows beneath it in the same three columns. The column headings are printed once over each panel and are given once here. The stub heading is blank in both panels. Scan quality: the decimal point in the percent column is very faint or dropped in many cells, so values print as e.g. "50 7", "0 6", "100 0", "27 7". These are unambiguously one-decimal percentages and are transcribed with the decimal point restored (affected cells include 8(a)(1)(3), 8(a)(1)(2)(5), 8(a)(1)(2)(3)(5), 8(a)(1)(3)(4)(5), 8(a)(1)^2, 8(b)(4)-8(b)(7) and several 8(b)(1)(2)... rows in the left panel, and 8(b)(2), 8(b)(3), 8(b)(5), 8(b)(4)(A)(B), the 8(b)(4) and 8(b)(7) recapitulations, and "Against employers alone" in the right panel). Arithmetic flag, left panel: the 8(a) subsection figures as read sum to 17,366 against the printed total of 17,361, and the recapitulation lines for 8(a)(3) (10,979) and 8(a)(5) (5,506) each fall 5 short of the rows feeding them, while 8(a)(2) (716) and 8(a)(4) (465) reconcile exactly. All three shortfalls resolve if the 8(a)(1)(3)(5) count is 1,503 rather than 1,508; the printed percent, 8.7, is consistent with either. I read the glyph as an 8 and have transcribed 1,508 as seen, but this is the single most likely digit error in the grid. Every other panel reconciles exactly (8(b) subsections to 9,022 and to all seven recapitulation lines; B1 to 2,495; B2 to 475; C to 104). Minor discrepancies transcribed as printed: 8(b)(7)(C) in B2 is 304 of 475, which is 64.0 percent, but 64.1 is printed; "Against employers alone" is 1 of 104, which rounds to 1.0 percent, but 0.9 is printed. Other marks: in the "Total cases 8(b)(7)" row a short stray dash sits to the left of 475 in the number column, apparently a leader-rule artifact rather than a sign or a digit; only 475 is transcribed. Section C's label shows a wide gap after the letter C with no period visible, where sections A and B have clear periods, so it is given as "C Charges filed under Sec. 8(e)". Similarly, A's label reads "under Sec 8(a)" with no period after "Sec", and the "Subsections of Sec. 8(a);" stub ends in a semicolon where the parallel 8(b) stub ends in a colon; both are transcribed as seen.
