Reader’s notes

p. 256. Structure: 17 columns — stub plus four column groups (All R, RC, RM, RD), each spanning "Elections conducted" over four columns. The superscript footnote marker 1 is printed only on the All R elections "Resulting in certification" heading; the same heading in the RC, RM and RD groups carries no marker. The indented "Rerun required" / "Runoff required" lines under each election type carry a figure only in their group's "Resulting in a rerun or runoff" column; all their other cells are printed as leader-dot rules (or, in a few spots such as the RD "Withdrawn or dismissed" cell on the "Runoff required" line under Consent elections, left entirely blank) and are transcribed as "". All arithmetic checks pass as printed: each group's row components sum to the All types line, the RC + RM + RD columns sum to the All R column in every row, the five election-type rows sum to "All types", and each pair of Rerun/Runoff figures sums to the "Resulting in a rerun or runoff" total above it. No suspected misprints. The dash in "Expedited—sec. 8(b)(7)(C)" is printed as an em dash. Scan quality is good; digits in the thousands columns are printed with a space after the comma (e.g. "9, 226") and have been normalized to "9,226" as instructed.
