Reader’s notes
p. 253. 11 columns: stub plus a Number/Percent pair for each of All R, RC, RM, RD, UD cases. The caption carries a footnote marker 1, but no footnote text appears within this crop (the image ends at the table's bottom rule), so `footnotes` is empty. Decimal points in the percent columns are frequently broken or invisible in the scan, printing as a gap (e.g. "100 0", "39 8", "64 5", "41 5", "27 6", "1 7", "15 3", "10 9", "1 4", "1 3"). Every percent value in this table is printed to one decimal place and the neighbouring cells in the same columns show the point clearly, so these have been transcribed with the decimal point restored; no digits were altered. The last cell, UD "Percent of cases closed" for "After issuance of Board decision", is a dash rule, transcribed as "". Column sums agree with the printed totals in all five Number columns. Two printed percentages differ slightly from the recomputed value: All R "After issuance of notice before close of hearing" shows 38.9 (5,237/13,438 = 39.0) and RC "Before issuance of notice of hearing" shows 39.8 (4,529/11,359 = 39.9). Both are transcribed as printed. The RD "Percent of cases closed" heading is marred by a scan speck over the "e" (appearing as "Percênt"); it reads "Percent" like the other four.
