Reader’s notes
p. 29. The crop is a page of running text containing Chart 13 ("DECISIONS ISSUED 1/", subtitle "(Excludes UD, AC, and UC Decisions)"); the only tabular matter is the data panel printed beneath the plot, which is what is transcribed here. The stub heading "Fiscal Year" is printed inside the chart frame at the left end of the x-axis, and the year headings 1962-1972 are the x-axis tick labels, which also head the columns of the data panel below. The row labels "C" and "R" are each preceded by a legend swatch (solid black for C, horizontal stripes for R); the swatches are not transcribed. A horizontal rule separates the R row from the Totals row. The footnote marker 1/ is attached to the chart title, which is excluded as caption; the footnote text itself is retained. All eleven columns check: C + R equals the printed total in every year. In the subtitle the second abbreviation renders ambiguously in the scan and is most likely "AC"; it is part of the caption and so not in the grid.
