Reader’s notes
p. 182. Nine columns: stub plus four two-column spanner groups (Total reruns elections^2; Union certified; No union chosen; Outcome of original election reversed), each split into Number / Percent by type. The stub has no printed heading, so cell 0 is empty in both header levels. The caption carries footnote marker 1 and the "Total reruns elections" spanner carries marker 2; marker 1 is omitted here because it attaches to the caption, which is excluded. Dashed rules in the percent columns (RD cases "No union chosen"/"Outcome ... reversed", and all four percent cells of "Expedited elections") are transcribed as empty cells per the dash-rule convention. Percentages are printed with a space after the decimal point ("27. 1", "72. 9"); transcribed closed up. The "Regional director-directed elections" label breaks across two printed lines after "director-"; the hyphen is a genuine compound hyphen and is retained. "By type of case" is printed without a trailing colon while "By type of election:" has one; both are transcribed as printed. Both are label-only section lines. Arithmetic checks pass: 149+5+1=155, 38+3+1=42, 111+2+0=113, 37+2+0=39; by type of election 16+91+0+46+2=155, 5+21+0+15+1=42, 11+70+0+31+1=113, 5+22+0+11+1=39. No misprints detected.
