Reader’s notes

p. 176. 15 columns: the stub plus seven case-type panels of two columns each (Number of cases / Percent of cases closed). The caption carries footnote marker 1, which is omitted per instructions along with the caption itself. Empty cells: in the "Percent of cases closed" columns for CD and CE, several cells are printed as dash rules (------) rather than figures, and are transcribed as "": CD percent in the rows "After hearing opened...", "After trial examiner's decision...", "After Board order adopting...", and "After Supreme Court action"; CE percent in the rows "After hearing opened...", "After trial examiner's decision...", and "After Board order adopting...". The CP row "After trial examiner's decision, before issuance of Board decision" likewise has a dash rule in the percent column (number is 0). Printed zeros kept as 0: CC percent in "After trial examiner's decision..." and CB percent in "After Supreme Court action" are both a printed 0 (not a dash, not blank). Percent values under 1 are printed without a leading zero (e.g. ".7", ".5") and are transcribed as printed. Arithmetic cross-check (not used to alter any cell): in every stage row the seven case-type counts sum exactly to the "All C cases" figure, and the eight stage rows sum to 23,840, matching the printed total. No misprints detected.
