Reader’s notes

p. 209. Seven printed columns: an unlabelled stub, "Total", and five petitioner columns under the two-level spanner "Number of cases" / "Identification of petitioner". The stub column carries no printed heading, so cell 0 of each heading level is empty; "Total" is a tall heading spanning all three levels and is repeated in each. The footnote marker 1 appears only on the caption ("Fiscal Year 1970 1"), which is excluded from the grid, so no in-table cell carries a marker.
