p. 224. Caption carries footnote marker 1 (recorded elsewhere). Eleven columns: stub plus a Number/Percent pair for each of All R, RC, RM, RD, UD. Doubtful cells, all in the UD cases panel. The UD column does not reconcile as printed/read, while every other column does: All R, RC, RM and RD each sum exactly to their printed totals (both counts and percents), and RC+RM+RD equals All R row by row. For UD, 107 + 0 + 0 + 60 + 8 = 175 against the printed total of 170, and 62.9 + 85.8 + 1.8 = 150.5 instead of 100.0. - "After issuance of regional director's decision", UD Percent of cases closed: read as 85.8. 60/170 = 35.3 percent, and 3 vs 8 / 5 vs 8 confusion is easy at this scan quality, so the printed value may be 35.3. Transcribed as read, not corrected. - "After issuance of Board decision", UD Number of cases: read as 8. A value of 3 would make the column sum to 170 and matches the printed 1.8 percent (3/170 = 1.76). Transcribed as read, not corrected. I examined both cells twice at the maximum resolution available to me and they still read 85.8 and 8; I could not resolve the conflict, so they are left as read. "Total number of cases closed", RD Percent of cases closed: the decimal point did not print (or did not survive the scan); the cell images as "100 0". Written as 100.0, consistent with the other four 100.0 totals on that line. Rows 3 and 4 (notice-of-hearing/close-of-hearing and hearing-closed), UD Percent of cases closed: a short dash rule, entered as "". The row label "After issuance of Board decision" shows a dotless i in "decision" (broken type); transcribed as the intended word.
