Reader’s notes

p. 212. Four printed columns: stub, a tall single heading "Cases in which formal actions taken", and the spanner "Formal actions taken by type of case" over AC and UC; column assignment is unambiguous from the vertical rules. Possible misprint in the source: for every row except the last, the AC and UC figures do not add to the first column (108 vs 16+60=76; 129 vs 18+80=98; 107 vs 14+67=81; 22 vs 4+13=17; 20 vs 4+11=15). The digits as printed are clear at this resolution, so they are transcribed as shown without correction. The table rows "By regional directors" and "By Board" are indented sub-items of "Decisions issued after hearing", and the last two rows are further indented under "By Board"; indentation is not represented in the grid. The scan renders many lowercase i's without dots (e.g. "Decisıons", "dırectors"); these are transcribed as ordinary letters.
