Natl\" and the 3-union block (and any later sections) continues on the following page, below the \"See footnotes at end of table\" line. The table's own numbered footnotes are not printed on this image; the caption carries a superscript 1 and the \"Total elections\" heading a superscript 2, both of which point to footnotes at the end of the table.\n\nIn the \"Percent won\" column the decimal point is often too faint to see in this scan (e.g. \"55 1\", \"100 0\", \"83 4\"); since every value in that column is a one-decimal percentage and the point is clearly visible in some rows (\"53.7\", \"53.8\", \"87.5\"), I have written all of them with a decimal point.\n\nSimilarly, the \"v.\" separator in the row labels is printed inconsistently in the scan — the period is visible in some labels (\"AFL-CIO v. AFL-CIO\", \"Teamsters v. Natl\", \"Natl v. Natl\") and lost in others (\"AFL-CIO v Teamsters\", \"Local v Local\"). p. 237. 16 columns. The crop is a continuation page: it begins mid-section A (section line "A. ALL REPRESENTATION ELECTIONS—Continued" is printed above the first data row) and is cut off after the row "AFL-CIO v Teamsters" in section B; that row's values are fully visible, but further rows of section B continue on the following page. No footnote texts appear on this crop (the caption's marker 1 and the column head marker 2 are defined elsewhere in the table). Percent-won column: the scan is a coarse bitonal image in which the decimal point in the percent figures is reduced to a faint speck, so the values read like "100 0", "87 8", "57 2". I transcribed them with the printed decimal point (100.0, 87.8, 57.2, 50.0, 55.1, 57.4, 54.5, 54.5, 55.7, 71.7, 82.4); every one is consistent with "total won"/"total elections" for its row. Row-label punctuation: the "v" separators are printed as abbreviations of "versus" and most show no visible period in this scan, so they are transcribed as plain "v"; the last entry of the A-section list visibly prints "v." before "Local" and is transcribed that way ("AFL-CIO v AFL-CIO v AFL-CIO v AFL-CIO v. Local"). Likewise "Natl" shows no visible abbreviation period. The section line for B shows no clearly visible period after the letter; I wrote "B. ELECTIONS IN RC CASES" to match the visible "A." form. Cells printed as dash rules (-------) are rendered as "" throughout; a printed 0 is kept as 0. In the row "AFL-CIO v AFL-CIO" (section B) there is a small ink speck in the "Other local unions" (elections won) column that is a scanning artifact on the dash rule, not a digit. Internal checks pass, which supports the column assignment: in "Total representation elections" 2,814+1,262+248+171 = 4,495 and 4,495+3,362 = 7,857; 193,770+46,567+24,963+26,753 = 292,053 and 292,053+274,111 = 566,164. In "1-union elections" the four union rows sum to 6,467 elections, 3,605 won, 390,236 eligible, 159,439 in units won, and 230,797 in elections with no representative chosen. No printed total appears to be misprinted.

p. 238. Structure: the crop carries no column headings (it continues a table from the preceding page), so header_rows is empty. The body is one panel of 15 data columns plus the stub, counted from the column rules and confirmed by every subtotal row. Percent column (column 2): the scan loses most decimal points, so the print reads "88 7", "100 0", "83 3", etc. Transcribed with the decimal point restored. This is supported by the one legible instance, "50.0" in the "AFL-CIO v AFL-CIO v AFL-CIO v Teamsters" row, and by arithmetic in every row (125/141 = 88.7, 604/725 = 83.3, 4,252/7,241 = 58.7, 142/353 = 40.2, and so on). Label punctuation: the same loss of small periods means abbreviation points are not resolvable here. The labels very likely read "AFL-CIO v. Natl.", "Natl. v. Local", "C. ELECTIONS IN RM CASES" in the original, but no period is legible on this image, so the labels are transcribed as seen, without them. Empty cells: the original uses a dash rule in most empty cells but leaves a few simply blank (for example column 7 of "AFL-CIO v Natl" and column 6 of "AFL-CIO v Local"); both are given as "". Column placement of short values in the four right-hand vote columns was the main risk, so it was checked against the printed subtotals rather than by eye alone. The "2-union elections" line's 16,586 and 21,146 are exactly the sum of the rows shown above it for those two columns (14,567+1,333+300+386 and 19,596+1,282+216+52), which fixes the "Teamsters v Teamsters" 16 in the Teamsters column rather than the next one. For the "3 (or more)-union elections" block all fifteen rows sum exactly to the printed 4,393 / 2,090 / 909 / 1,928 (and to 11,057, 9,320, 1,737, 49, 43, 25, 5, 3, 10, 6). The RM panel sums exactly as well. No printed total in this crop disagrees with its parts. Crop boundaries: the "2-union elections" group begins before the top of the image (its "AFL-CIO v AFL-CIO" and "AFL-CIO v Teamsters" rows are on the previous page), and section C ends on this image at its "1-union elections" subtotal, with the rest of the RM section continuing on the following page. A small stray mark sits in the right margin beside the "AFL-CIO v Natl v Natl" row; it is a page artifact, not a footnote marker on any cell.

p. 239. Doubtful cell: row "Natl v Local" (section C), column "Elections in which no representative chosen". The glyph reads as 6 in this scan and is transcribed as printed, but it is almost certainly a damaged 0: the row has 2 total elections of which 2 were won, and the column entries above it (5, 1, 0, 0, 0, 0) already sum to the "2-union elections" subtotal of 6. Every other cell in that row and column cross-checks. Percent won column: the decimal point is frequently lost or reduced to a gap in this 1-bit scan (the cells appear as "44 4", "100 0", "42 4", "0 0", etc.). They are transcribed with the decimal point (44.4, 100.0, 42.4, 0.0 …), since each value matches Total won / Total elections exactly. Row "AFL-CIO v AFL-CIO" (section C), column "Total won": a small stray tick precedes the digit, printing roughly as "'4". It is treated as scan speckle rather than a footnote marker (no corresponding footnote exists, and 4 is confirmed by the AFL-CIO unions column and by 4 + 5 = 9). Row labels: the period in the abbreviation "v." is legible only in some rows ("AFL-CIO v. AFL-CIO" and "AFL-CIO v. Local" in section D) and is transcribed as seen; it is probably printed throughout and lost elsewhere in the scan. Terminal periods in the footnotes are likewise faint and have been written in. Verification: all other row sums (component unions to Total won; Total won + no representative chosen = Total elections; employees in units won by each group to In elections won; In elections won + In elections where no representative chosen = Total), all column sums into the "1-union elections", "2-union elections", "Total RM elections" and "Total RD elections" lines, and all percentages agree exactly with the printed figures.
