9 of 18 figures sit in a row or column sum that works out.
p. 218. Four columns: stub, "Cases in which formal actions taken", and AC / UC under the spanner "Formal actions taken by type of case". The stub heading and the "Cases in which formal actions taken" heading each span both heading levels, so they are repeated in both. Arithmetic as printed does not reconcile horizontally: AC + UC falls well short of the first column in every row except the last ("Hearings completed" 20 + 92 = 112 vs 195; "Decisions issued after hearing" 15 + 94 = 109 vs 200; "By Regional directors" 11 + 82 = 93 vs 181; "By Board" 4 + 12 = 16 vs 19; "After transfer..." 3 + 11 = 14 vs 17; "After review..." 1 + 1 = 2 vs 2). The digits were checked twice against the image and are transcribed as printed; the vertical arithmetic is internally consistent in all three numeric columns (181 + 19 = 200, 17 + 2 = 19; 11 + 4 = 15, 3 + 1 = 4; 82 + 12 = 94, 11 + 1 = 12), which supports the digit readings. Nothing was computed or corrected. A stray raised dot is printed in the left margin immediately before the label "After review of regional directors' decisions"; it is an ink/printing artifact rather than a footnote marker (no matching footnote exists) and has been omitted from the label. The caption carries footnote marker 1, which is excluded along with the caption per instructions; the footnote itself is retained.
