0 of 5 figures sit in a row or column sum that works out.
p. 271. The table has two columns: the stub "Action taken" and "Total cases closed". The first body row carries the value 9 in the total-cases column but has no printed row label in the stub (the stub cell is blank in the image, with no leader dots); it is set off from the five detail rows by a short horizontal rule and is evidently the total row. Its stub cell is therefore transcribed as "". The five detail values (3, 3, 0, 2, 1) sum to 9, matching that row. The scan renders the dots of several i's faintly (e.g. "jurisdiction", "insufficient evidence"), but the words are unambiguous. The caption carries footnote marker 1, which is recorded with the caption elsewhere and not repeated in the grid.
