Reader’s notes
p. 249. Nine columns: stub plus four two-column panels (Total, By employer, By union, By both parties), each with Number and Percent by type. Two cells in the "RD cases" row show no visible decimal point in the scan: the Total/Percent by type cell reads "100 0" and the By union/Percent by type cell reads "65 8". Both are transcribed with the decimal point restored (100.0 and 65.8), since the surrounding rows print the same quantities as one-decimal percentages and the dot has evidently dropped out in this 1-bit scan; flagging in case literal-as-printed text is wanted. Footnote 1 is printed without a terminal period. The footnote 1 marker also appears on the caption (excluded per instructions) and the footnote 2 marker on the "By both parties" column heading. The RD cases row, By union percent (65.8) plus employer (17.1) plus both parties (17.1) sums to 100.0, consistent.
