Reader’s notes
p. 217. The scan is faint and drops most periods: the percent cells print as "75 3", "72 9", "94 3", "5 7", "75 0", "25 0", "27 1", "24 7" with the decimal point barely or not visible. They are decimal percentages (each Overruled/Sustained pair sums to 100.0), so they are transcribed with decimal points. The same fading affects sentence-final periods in the footnotes, which are restored. In the "RC elections" row, the "Objections withdrawn" cell shows an ink blot/artifact immediately after "315" that resembles a stray mark or pilcrow; it is not a footnote marker — the value is 315 (1,176 - 861 = 315, and 315 + 10 + 4 = 329, the printed total). All other column sums check against the "All elections" row. The caption carries footnote marker 1, which is omitted here with the caption.
