Suspected misprint: in the "Teamsters" row of the 1-union block, "Percent won" is transcribed as printed, 53.6, but 987 won of 1,911 total elections is 51.6 percent; the 1,911 and 987 figures are confirmed by the column totals (4,275+1,911+343+130 = 6,659 and 2,300+987+201+87 = 3,575), so either the report misprinted the percentage or the scanned "1" reads as a "3". Every other percentage on the page agrees with its own row's counts. Decimal points in the "Percent won" column are frequently lost or faint in this scan (cells print as "53 7", "100 0"); they are transcribed as decimal points, which the surrounding values confirm. Likewise, the period after "A" in the section line "A. ALL REPRESENTATION ELECTIONS" is not clearly legible on the image but is implied by the report's section lettering. Row labels in the 2-union and 3-or-more blocks print abbreviation periods inconsistently ("Teamsters v Teamsters" vs "Teamsters v. Natl", "AFL-CIO v Natl" vs "Natl. v. Local"); a trailing period often merges with the leader dots that follow the label, so the periods are transcribed only where visible and should not be read as meaningful variation. The column headings are printed on this image, so they are transcribed. Decimal points: throughout the "Percent won" column the period is very faint in this 1-bit scan and often images as a blank (e.g. "58 5", "100 0", and one that images as "20,0"). All have been transcribed as decimals (58.5, 100.0, 20.0). Each value was checked against its own ratio of "Total won" to "Total elections" and all 22 agree to the printed tenth, so the decimal reading is secure. Row labels: the periods in the "v." (versus) and "Natl." abbreviations drop out inconsistently in the scan (e.g. "AFL-CIO v AFL-CIO" vs. "AFL-CIO v. Teamsters" on adjacent lines). Because the dropout pattern is random rather than systematic, these have been rendered consistently as "v." and "Natl."; a reader wanting strict glyph-level fidelity should re-check the original. The grid has 16 columns (stub + 15 numeric), counted from the column rules; the rightmost column is the one holding 11,538 / 5,399 in the two total rows. Column 2 is a one-decimal percent column, but the lossy 1-bit scan drops most of the decimal points (they print as "45 3", "100 0"). They are transcribed with the point restored (45.3, 100.0); the point is actually legible in the "3 (or more)-union elections" row ("100.0"), which confirms the format. Under D, "Other national unions" shows only a single "0" in that cell (no visible decimal digits); transcribed as "0". Suspected misprint: under D, "1-union elections" reads 26.4 in the percent column, but the same ratio everywhere else in the table is column 3 / column 1, here 58/210 = 27.6. I read the printed digits as "26 4" and transcribed them as printed; it is possible the original types 27.6 and the scan corrupted two digits. All other percents, all section/total sums and all column sums cross-check exactly (e.g. 95+56+8+8=167, 167+202=369; 5,186+1,125+1,925+584=8,820; 8,820+11,538=20,358; the same holds throughout panel D). Punctuation restored where the scan dropped it and the context is unambiguous: the period after the section letter in "C. ELECTIONS IN RM CASES" (clearly printed in "D. ELECTIONS IN RD CASES") and the period in "v." in several row labels where it is legible in sibling rows. The trailing period in "Natl." (rows "AFL-CIO v. Natl." and "AFL-CIO v. Teamsters v. Natl.") cannot be told apart from the first leader character; it is included on the assumption that it is an abbreviation point. Dash rules ("------") in empty cells are transcribed as "".
